At SEMCO Construction, our people are the heart of everything we build. Based in Yukon and serving the greater Oklahoma City area, we’re a multigenerational, family-owned builder rooted in over 45 years of craftsmanship, integrity, and personal commitment. Led by Donnie and Debi Marchant — and supported by their sons Josh and Seth — our team brings together deep construction knowledge, strong relationships, and a passion for building homes and spaces that last a lifetime. Whether working on custom homes, remodels, or commercial projects, we guide you through every step of the process with transparency, expertise, and care.
Donnie
Marchant
Donnie Marchant oversees all aspects of SEMCO Construction and began his construction career more than 40 years ago. Donnie attended Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, OK from 1972 to 1976 and gained building experience working to pay for his education. Donnie formed a building company with his father, and the business took a natural progression and began to flourish as he built quality homes in the tradition of those before him. Integrity in all facets of construction, plus experience is an unbeatable combination which assures unmatched excellence.
The 4th generation became a part of the SEMCO Construction legacy when Josh Marchant and Seth Marchant, Donnie’s sons, were added to the SEMCO team. SEMCO Construction is a builder member of the Central Oklahoma Homebuilders Association (COHBA), the Oklahoma State Homebuilders Association (OSHBA), and the National Association of Homebuilders Association (NAHB).
Debi Marchant
Debi Marchant manages the financial and organizational aspects of SEMCO Construction. Debi is a seasoned manager who brings financial knowledge, organizational skills, and marketing expertise along with the ability to make critical decisions needed in any successful company. Debi received her education at the University of Texas in Arlington and Nazarene Bible College. After working for many years as a marketing analyst, children’s pastor and a manager in legal administration, Debi joined SEMCO Construction in 2002. Debi is a licensed realtor with McGraw Realtors which allows her to help buyers sell their existing home using the experience and knowledge needed in a changing housing market.
For many years Debi’s love and passion was for children and their families. As co-owner of SEMCO Construction and serving clients as a realtor with McGraw Realtors, she is able to continue her passion by building and selling homes which become the anchor that allows families to grow for a lifetime. Her mission is simple: You, the client always comes first!
Josh Marchant
Josh has been building and remodeling homes for more than 25 years and is the manager of the construction side of SEMCO Construction. Josh followed in the footsteps of those before him learning the building and construction industry from the ground up beginning in high school. Josh’s expertise includes knowledge of the commercial construction industry having worked as a superintendent for a commercial construction company.
Josh’s passion is to complete every project on-time with quality and integrity and to continue the tradition set before him three generations ago.
Seth Marchant
Seth Marchant began his journey with SEMCO Construction more than 20 years ago while still in high school and continued the journey through college while attending Southern Nazarene University. Seth supervises and manages the new construction job sites and oversees the crews in several critical areas including managing Top Coat Paint Company a subsidiary of SEMCO Homes. Seth began as his forefather, learning the practical aspects of home building and construction.
Seth’s greatest desire is to create lasting relationships by building homes with craftsmanship that ensures value and home buyer satisfaction.
A Legacy Rooted in Craftsmanship and Family
The SEMCO story began after World War II, when Shelby Earnest “Daddy Ernie” Marchant, Sr. entered the construction industry as a contractor in Dallas, Texas. His dedication to craftsmanship and honest work shaped the values that still define SEMCO today. His son, Shelby Earnest (S.E.) Marchant Jr., expanded the family’s capabilities into new home construction, remodeling, and residential design.
In 1983, the third generation—Donnie Marchant—joined the business, quickly becoming a driving force in its growth and reputation. With a passion for quality and innovation, Donnie helped rename the company SEMCO Homes in 1993. Recognizing Oklahoma’s growing potential, Donnie relocated the company to Oklahoma City in 1998, establishing a solid foundation in the OKC and Yukon area.
As the company expanded beyond residential construction, SEMCO Homes officially became SEMCO Construction in 2019, reflecting its broader expertise in custom homes, barndominiums, steel structures, remodeling, and commercial construction.
